Our tallow is organic, grass-fed and grass-finished, never bleached or deodorized, and rendered slowly to retain its nutrients. Honey is raw and unfiltered, sourced in America. Marula and rosehip oils are organic, housed in glass, from small American businesses. Essential oils are pure, with no carrier oils, from trusted small suppliers.

Our balms and creams are water-free, so they don't need traditional preservatives to prevent microbial growth. We add a small amount of vitamin E, a natural antioxidant, and bottle everything in dark glass to shield the oils from light. Small batch sizes do the rest.

Tallow has a mild natural scent that fades once applied to skin. Our Tallow and Honey Balm carries a soft honey note. The rest of our line takes on the scent of whatever essential oils are in the formula, wild lavender, sweet orange, or vanilla. Nothing heavy, nothing perfumed.

Yes. Tallow's fatty acid profile closely mirrors our own skin, making it one of the most compatible ingredients you can use. Our formulas are free of fragrance synthetics, fillers, and common irritants. If you have a specific allergy, check the full ingredient list on each product page.

No. Tallow is non-comedogenic and absorbs quickly into the skin. A small amount goes far, and it helps to warm it between your hands first. If your skin feels greasy, you're likely using too much.

No. Our tallow comes from organic, grass-fed and grass-finished cattle raised without added hormones or antibiotics. Natural hormones exist in all animal fat in trace amounts, but the levels are biologically inactive through skin.

Keep products in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. Avoid heat sources like hot cars or sunny windowsills. Sealed properly, your products hold their texture and freshness.

Most of our products last 6 to 12 months unopened, 6 months once opened. The Night Cream is more delicate due to its rosehip oil and benefits from refrigeration to extend its life. Our cold process soaps keep well beyond a year. We make in small batches so what arrives is always fresh.

Tallow is sensitive to temperature. In warm weather, balms soften or melt. In cold, they firm up. Color and texture may also vary slightly between batches because natural ingredients shift with season and source. If your product arrives melted, place it in the fridge to firm back up. None of this affects quality.
