How Long Will My Products Last?

Because our products are handcrafted in small batches with no preservatives or fillers, they’re designed to be used fresh and loved often, not tucked away on a shelf. Here’s what you can expect:

Balms & Whips (Glow Balm, Night Cream, Vanilla Whipped, etc.)

Once opened, we recommend enjoying within 3–6 months.

Salt Scrubs

Best within 3–4 months of opening.

Soaps

Our soaps don’t truly expire. Over time (9–12 months), the scent may soften, but the bar itself only gets harder and longer-lasting.

Always store in a cool, dry place and use clean hands or a spatula to scoop.

Do your products contain preservatives?

No. We prioritize transparency and purity, crafting our formulas with stable, ancestral ingredients like grassfed tallow. We produce in small batches and recommend using within 3-6 months for optimal freshness.

Are your products safe for sensitive skin?

Generally, yes! Our tallow-based formulations use gentle, ancestral ingredients your skin naturally recognizes. Note that our night cream, with rosehip oil containing retinoic acid, may irritate some sensitive skin, and our pure, undiluted plant-distilled essential oils could also affect certain sensitivities—patch test first. Always test if concerned.

Why is my balm a different color or texture from last time?

We handcraft every batch using natural ingredients that vary slightly from season to season just like real food does. No batch will ever be exactly the same but will always deliver the same benefits. Variations are totally normal and part of what makes small-batch skincare special.

How should I store my products?

Store tallow-based products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain their preservative-free quality. Soap and scrubs can be kept in the shower, but ensure they drain well to extend their life.

Do you accept returns?

All sales are final. Because our products are handcrafted in small batches with natural ingredients, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds.

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at theorganicviolet@gmail.com so we can resolve the issue.

When will my item be shipped?

We ship orders within 3–5 business days of purchase. You’ll receive tracking information by email once your order is on its way. We currently ship within the United States.

Will tallow clog my pores or feel greasy?

No, tallow won’t clog pores. It’s non-comedogenic and mimics your skin’s natural oils for deep nourishment. Any initial richness absorbs within a few minutes, leaving skin soft and glowing, never greasy.
